Adventure North operates in some of New Zealand’s most renowned fisheries, from the remote Three Kings Islands to the northern capes and the Ranfurly Bank. Each location offers world-class fishing, breathtaking scenery, and the chance to chase truly trophy fish.
The Three Kings Islands, northwest of New Zealand’s North Cape, offer world-class game fishing in remote, untamed waters. Anglers target marlin, kingfish, hapuku, and bass among dramatic reefs and deep blue currents.
Right at the top of the country, North Cape, Cape Maria van Diemen and Cape Reinga sit where the Tasman and the Pacific collide. Upwelling currents feed big kingfish, trevally, snapper and pelagics, and in the right weather the wild West Coast is within reach.
The Ranfurly Bank, off East Cape near Hicks Bay, is one of New Zealand’s top kingfish grounds. Its steep edges and strong currents produce trophy yellowtail, along with hapuku, bluenose, and other deepwater species.
Adventure North’s crew blends hard-won Northland know-how with calm, precise seamanship. From deep-drop mastery to big-game tactics, they’re the kind of operators who read water like a map, keep you safe when it pipes up, and make the whole mission feel effortless.

It is one of the reasons we can stay out at the Three Kings and on Northern Exposure trips for days at a time without running back in.
